Composites

The SOFAL portfolio of composite materials includes thermoplastic composites in the form of prepregs, semipregs and laminated honeycomb panels.

Termoplastic prepreg

The SOFAL portfolio of composite materials includes thermoplastic composites in the form of prepregs and semipregs

Semipregs are fabrics (aramid, carbon natural fibers)  onto which the selected thermoplastic matrix material is applied as polymer powder or film  and melted on.

Prepregs are the next processing stage. Here, the semipreg is fully impregnated and consolidated under temperature using a double belt press.

Lightweight construction

Fiber-reinforced composite materials and consolidated organic sheets, structure-reinforcing functional textiles and high-temperature stable composite materials.

Laminated honeycomb panels

What Are Laminated Honeycomb Panels?

Laminated honeycomb panels are composite structures made of two outer layers (the faces) and a core made of a honeycomb-shaped material, typically constructed from aluminum, cardboard, or polymer. The honeycomb core provides exceptional strength while minimizing weight, creating a product that is not only durable but also incredibly versatile.

Key Benefits of Composites:

  • Lightweight and Strong
  • Thermal and Acoustic Insulation
  • Customizable Solutions
  • Corrosion and Moisture Resistance
  • Easy to Install
  • Eco-Friendly Options
